This RAM-MOUNT RAM-B-231Z i.e. RAM-B-231ZU ball adaptor can be screwed onto a tubular dumbbell, fall protection tube, or general pipe with a diameter of 0.5’inch inch (1.27cm) up to 1.25′ inch (3.175 cm)
Compatible with all RAM-MOUNT ti type “B” mounts, namely those with a 1′ (2.5cm) diameter ball. The component INCLUDES two adapters: one with a diameter of 2.5cm and the other with a diameter of 3.175cm. Also included in the package is the RAP-319U adapter so you can attach the RAM-B-231Z to a 1cm diameter handlebar (e.g., around the 1cm diameter rearview mirror)
Therefore, the mount will now be even more compatible with motorcycle and bicycle handlebars from 1.27cm up to 3.175cm. In addition, thanks to the ball attachment, the RAM-MOUNT stand can be oriented either vertically or horizontally

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION
Ideal for motorcycle handlebars, the RAM-B-231ZU consists of a 1″ B size rubber ball attached to a zinc-coated metal U-bolt base. Designed to sit at right angles to the mounting rail, the U-bolt base accommodates rails from .5″ to 1.25″ in diameter. Included are black cover caps to be placed over the exposed ends of the U-bolt as well as a composite adapter that can narrow the rail to a minimum width of .5″.
